Prije nekoliko dana The Wrap je ekskluzivno objavio listu od 134 dokumentarna naslova koja će se ove godine naći u oskarovskoj trci u nefikcijskom dijelu konkurencije.
Shortlista od petnaest izabranih djela bit će poznata u prosincu, dok će se konačna lista dokumentarnih nominacija materijalizirati 15. siječnja 2015. godine. 87. dodjela nagrada Oscar održat će se 22. veljače u losanđeleskom Dolby Theatreu. Nažalost, i ova će godina biti uskraćena za filmove iz Hrvatske i susjedne nam okolice.
Uz već pomalo profilirane kandidate za najviši plasman poput filmova “Citizenfour” (2014., Laura Poitras), “Life Itself” (2014., Steve James), “Rich Hill” (2014., Andrew Droz Palermo i Tracy Droz Tragos) i “Virunga” (2014., Orlando von Einsiedel), na listi su prisutni i dokumentarci koje smo detaljno pratili i na stranicama portala Dokumentarni.net.
“Dancing in Jaffa” (2013., Hilla Medalia) bio je prikazan na ovogodišnjem DOKUartu, “Manakamana” (2013., Stephanie Spray i Pacho Velez) na prošlogodišnjem Human Rights Film Festivalu, “Crvenu armiju” / “Red Army” (2014., Gabe Polsky) i “U iščekivanju kolovoza” / “Waiting for August” (2014., Teodora Ana Mihai) gledali smo na netom završenom 12. Zagreb Film Festivalu, dok ćemo na 8. Vox Feminae Film Festivalu uskoro prisluhnuti dokumentarcu Cynthie Hill, “Privatno nasilje” / “Private Violence” (2014).
